They take an inferior model and sell it at a store where anyone who would shop for a real Dyson would be caught dead in
That way people with no money in the bank can pretend to own a Dyson like Mrs. Johnson down the block.
This model is nice but extremely heavy, prone to breaking after 1-2 years - that is why it is CONSTANTLY on discount, CONSTANTLY on refurb (where are all these refurb units coming from i wonder???).
There is a reason why there is a new Dyson hair dryers priced at $400 (Supersonic's BS new model made to increase pric) and at $500 (Supersonic r) and why the Supersonic original is constantly refurbished going for less than half the price of the new model.
If you are going to buy this get it somewhere that offers a 4 year warranty bc you will be lucky to make it to 2 years - check Reddit threads if you dont believe me.
