I've owned 2 Eco-Drives and they both failed in less than 5 years. Capacitor battery replacement is around $50

Depends where you buy it I guess. My old ones are still going very strong, I bought one gold color with leather band, it does not hold charge anywhere near the older ones even with same exposure. I hate that Citizen said they won't service it because they said if they find no problem they will charge me. I expected better from Citizen company support.
I would still buy Eco drive, no more battery watches for me.

I have 3 Eco Drives right now. They are probably between 5-10 years old, MINIMUM. They are all still running without any issues. 2 of them spend a noticeable amount of time under water. Been great for me.

I am sure it is great as all, but I honestly lost interest in those watches since I used Garmin watch years ago. I think most people into this type of watch are paying for the utility, You're not paying for the classicness, or the movement, and Garmin watch have always on display for a week or more, and much more functionality, I think it just captured much more audience.

As a pilot, nothing on that face means anything. They're just numbers that line up with each other.
