Crappy app only management, and support is non-existent. I wouldn't expect updates seeing it's on fire sale at Woot.

When you click on support on their site it goes to a busted page: https://community.surfboard.com/resources
I hate that all routers are going app only management. It's a step backwards.
Honestly it's a very good price for a brand new tri-band mesh wifi 6E 2-pack. You aren't going to find anything close to this price new. I spent $150 on eBay for a Linksys Velop tri-band 6E 3-pack and that was used and it was still the best price I could find for a 3-pack. All these mesh wifi systems use Qualcomm chipsets so they should perform similarly based upon the chipset, this one uses the older last gen Qualcomm Networking Pro 810 chipset family which was used in early 6E systems.

I am using model W31 since late 2 years, no complaints. I was able to setup 2 ssid , one for 5ghz and one for 2.5ghz… both works great

Dougs review highlights NO wired backhaul. So your loosing WiFi for that dedicated backhaul signal... Personally i would wait for a supported and stable setup

Any good?
I had the W121 for a few years.. Great speed and coverage. The only bad thing I have to say about the arris stuff is they dont have a web management interface. You have to use their clumsy app for all config.. If thats not important to you, go for it, its a steal of a price

agreed, no web interface is what finally got me to swap my w121 setup out for an Orbi. I also expect a firesale as looking at Arris site, looks like they are getting out of the router/mesh market and concentrating on modem, AIO setups.

Definitely. But it's the reason companies shareholders are pushing for it. They love gathering analytics. They're destroying companies for quick profits and leaving dead companies behind.

I can't speak for this exact model, but the AX11000 mesh absolutely allowed wired back haul. It was the most stable mesh I've used and even with WiFi back haul over a long distance, it was totally solid and maxed out our gig plan. But like others have said, the app was extremely limited.

I'm using OPNsense as my router/firewall. Anyone know if this has access point only option? can I setup separate SSID for each of the 3 radios? no wired backhaul option, for real?

I did get this system and the router itself and the Wifi works great. Way better than the Google Next Pro 6e setup. I love the ability to set separate SSIDs for each band and use 6GHz only if I want. The only issues is the Arris app. Out of 4 phones only one was able to set it up or work normally to see the status. Still very worth it for the price.
