I have this set. Problem is the three smaller sockets can only be used with the small drill insert. Only the two larger ones fit on the 1/2 inch extension
Yeah, agree. Weird they went with 16 and 18. Speaking for myself, 17 and 19 are way more common, though you probably want to be at 1/2" drive by then.
17 and 19 are used in the old German DIN and Japanese JIS standard. 16 and 18 are used in the ANSI and modern ISO standards that are getting used more and more.

I "think" i need this ... purchase now, figure it out once it arrives .... lol
Thanks for pointing this out. I know at least 1 of my vehicles has 17mm lugnuts. Odd omission.
