Saw the deal, but after reading the reviewes decided to skip it. The external material is very thin, prone to ripping. Also prepare to leave behind a trail of feathers.
I have bought 2 Cotopaxi's products so far. I have to say their quality is 2 stars. Very cheap. Don't expect Patagonia quality.

Bought this two years ago in a sale for a couple dollars less, I like it. Anyone who is familiar with lightweight/packable outdoorsy jackets will know this is not intended for bushwhacking or yard work, and will rip if you do. Overall, I would say it's definitely a step down from something like the Arcteryx Cerium, but definitely a step up from mall brands if you're using it for outdoorsy stuff. For $100 and change I'd recommend it

Just get a Uniqlo one for half the price if you don't care about the branding

Got one of those Uniqlo and couldn't return it fast enough, for was TERRIBLE (small and boxy) and shed down like NO OTHER. 20D on this is preferred for me compared to the 10D in the Ghost whisperer or you're scared to wear it almost.

Picked up a black XL, great price and value. Also somehow have not become an REI member yet, with it just now I got a $30 gift card for paying the $30 to become the member (from spending >$50 on a purchase). So free membership basically too

Bought this along with a vest last year when they were on sale and they're pretty disappointing. Thin, light on filling, and the filling comes out constantly. Probably won't buy Cotopaxi again based on the quality, though I do like the look.

Daughter owns two with extensive outdoor use. No issues whatsoever. As with everything YMMV.

Absolutely not. I've owned BOTH brands for years. The uniqlo one is nowhere near as good. The cuffs pill up, zipper sucks and get caught, and feathers leak. I use it only when I know I'm about to do some dirty lawn work because I stopped caring about it.

The cotopaxi fuego keeps me way warmer than the uniqlo jacket.

Sometimes that's the only way to get the geese to stop following you around. Peace was never an option.

No hood cinch? Not for me...
These hoods stay in place in ripping wind even without cinching (if the zipper is up), that's one of the things I like about them.

I agree the durability is low, but I've worn the two I have on multiple climbing trips through brush/brambles and on the rock with no major damage. They do seem to just have loose threads and feathers popping out from time to time.

Definitely wouldn't pay full price, but I did just get another with this 60% off.

Great price on a good jacket. I ordered 3. Hope they fit well.
Cotopaxi is garbase, my armpit got a hole in it almost immediately, do you think the brand name sounds cool or something? just curious how you qualify a good jacket...

I've owned one for almost 2 years, no issues. In fact, this probably leaks the least amount of down of any coat I've owned (mostly eddie bauer).
