Their RT250 is also a nicer outlet tester than the one in this bundle. Of course they couldn't bundle that and make it work with the trace tool because then you wouldn't have to buy two versions of their tools...

I find that running the sensor (not too quickly) over all the breakers first and then slowly checking again will greatly reduce false alerts...
Still requires flipping breakers on and off but slightly more accurate than random flipping. Also works if the circuit is really far away and hard to check if it's still powered on

A lot of people dump on these. Some of it is justified because they aren't perfect, but they can be invaluable if used properly. I use mine of a regular basis at my own house during our multiple remodels and upgrades and at many friends houses.
