For what it's worth, I got the LoCo brand version for $75 at Lowe's last year, which is essentially the same form factor but has a lid and removable drip tray. I use it all the time and it has an adequate amount of cook surface for at least 4 smashburgers at a time. If you think you have a use case (portable, no need for a full size flat top), I'd say go for it and make some good food. Might not be as slick of a deal when comparing features, but you're paying for name brand, assumed quality, and everything costs more these days.
I got that LoCo one from Lowes for $75, a real slick deal. Except, the cooking surface doesn't heat evenly on mine - have you had that problem?

Regarding that Sam's Club unit, I have a similar 1 burner Walmart branded unit. Notice where the oil collection is on the Sam's? That takes space away from the burners. The burners do not cover the entire griddle area. It'll be hot 3/4 of the depth unlike the blackstone.

I'm on the fence about buying this. I have several portable/camping set ups, I'm just not sure if I see myself using a griddle necessarily. I watched these 2 videos and I'm close to pulling the trigger since it's only about $100. Anyone that owns this have any feedback?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbqGFUW9HM4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG9YCTDTDIY
I have the 22" with the folding legs and lids. I'd not call it "portable." I'd check into Walmart Ozark Trail Butane Griddle. When I got it it was $49. I love this thing. I used it to cook bacon and sausage almost every week.

I own a portable butane stove similar to that and my Plan B was to buy a little griddle plate or something to use with it as I thought I'd be more likely to actually use/maintain it on trips or just in general. I didn't know this product existed, thank you! This will definitely give me some ideas
