Yep I picked this up last sale and stacked Amex, partner discount and CB.

I hesitated bc of the 800R curve and only 300nits brightness.

I had a 1000R and it really isn't that much of a difference.
The brightness is valid, not much brighter than my previous Dell 34" VA 144hz panel. The blacks are inky and the colors look great.

Huge upgrade from a quality VA? If you got the budget sure thing, otherwise a good VA is still very relevant

I miss the days of manufacturers clearing out their fast refresh IPS panels for $200-300. Yes, I know OLED is better- but IPS is good enough for home office use and the occasional game.
Anyhow, as someone OLED curious, is burn-in still an issue for these things?

Burn in is inherent to OLED, how fast you get there depends on how you use the monitor. Most manufacturers have pretty good pixel shift/screen refresh mitigations these days (which will do nothing if you dismiss the prompts or don't run them). If it's something you're particularly worried about check that the OEM has a good warranty policy around it (Dell/Alienware does). If you want to set the monitor to 100% brightness and never let your computer go to sleep or always have the same two apps open in split screen, you'll probably arrive at burn-in faster.
I've been using an LG C1 TV (WOLED) for ~4 years and an AW3423DW (QD-OLED) for a little over 3 years and neither have burn in. The monitor began to show some image retention from particularly bright and static video game UI elements but a panel refresh got rid of it. I personally wouldn't consider using non-OLED if I have the choice.

Disappointing that a $1300 monitor doesn't have a USB-C display options so I can quickly connect my work laptop when working from home. I have older monitors that support this. Definitely would've purchased otherwise.
