I bought a couple months back for sample price. Works fine and price was good. Some of the holes were initially tight to get the metal part in. I was weighing expanding with a drill bill but they've seemed to loosen up over time. Would buy again.
I prefer velcro vs these. Beginner or not. Save the money unless you see a specific need or want leather
Agree even more so if you fall right on the waist limits of any size. You can get a perfect fit with Velcro. I'm 32" and medium is too small and large too big.

What happens to the velcro belts on heavy squats?
Edit: I should've read the comments, those ride a size too small. Got XXL and cannot lock it on a size 42 waist.
It's supposed to be really tight, so good fit
