This seems great - anyone able to comment on this? I have several Canon speed lights (580/430) and love the idea of the better battery - will this be a game changer?

Just picked up an r5m2 and wondered how much I actually need to upgrade

Outstanding deal. If I'd seen this a month ago I would have bought it at this price

I purchased one of these (it might have been a previous version) and it works great with sun killing power.

Does it come with the magnetic dome diffuser or does that need to be purchased separately.

This is a game changer. Lipo recycles fast, bright led modeling lamp.

Should this work with my Godox X3 transmitter? Seems like the answer is yes, based on my reading:

Anyone have thoughts to the contrary? TIA

I got the non-pro V1S kit version back in 2022 for $200 and it's awesome! I have the XPLOR 200 and 400 Pros, but usually defer to this little guy for outdoor portrait sessions. It provides great fill light when shooting against the sun and is significantly more portable than the strobes. For outdoor group portraits I'd still use the 200 though, but indoor is totally fine if you bounce off a wall/ceiling. I also use it in the studio as a hair light or back light (it works flawlessly with the R2 Pro M2 trigger). The modeling lamp could be stronger, but for its size I can't complain. The kit isn't really necessarily, but I do make good use of the plate and dome diffusers.

Note: my charger randomly stopped working one day after about 1-2 years in. It was $20 to replace, but I use the flash so much it was worth it

TLDR: super versatile, light, and powerful. I would buy it again in a heartbeat

You will need one of these for the hotshoe.

Not really. you can still use the hotshoe as normal like the older canon cameras BUT it doesn't complete the weather sealing with the Canon Speedlites. This adapter was mainly meant for that one R camera which doesn't have the contact old contact points, and to complete the sealing for the older flashes.

It says you don't need it, but trying without it made me go buy one. The speedlights just didn't fit right and it felt forced to lock it in place and didn't feel like it locked properly. I tried once without and then went and bought the adapter the next day
