Some people complaining about "cracking" after a few weeks of use.
Easily avoidable fix: Mineral Oil (apply twice on brand new boards)
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Equate...L/44807472
I apply this stuff to all my cutting boards once every 4 weeks.
Let it soak in over night and wipe off any excess next day.
Your boards will last you a lifetime doing so and keep them shiny.
Also: Never put wooden boards in the dishwasher.
Hand wash only and towel dry immediately after!
Cheers!

always weary of cutting my food on thin strips of bamboo glued together and sold on Amazon. Don't get me wrong I have one but there's no way this shit is guaranteed food safe.

Not sure I understand your logic there, I mean if I know something is toxic I'm not going to ingest it.

I agree.
These no-name wood/wood-adjacent cutting boards on the surface seem like the healthier choice vs plastic...but do you really trust "Cosy Family" (Business Name: Baoding Yunzhongjun Trading Co., Ltd) to have used food safe materials?
generic cheap no name stuff had it's uses, but food contact and safety equipment are not on my list. a lot of SD hand wave dismisses concerns with "they're all made in the same factory"

I'd think this has to be better than ingesting tiny plastic bits though...

I'm less concerned with plastic bits/bamboo bits than I am with bacteria festering.

A reverse cut bamboo board would be much better quality and not splinter or dull your knives.

I would think it all depends on what is in the glue that's holding together the bamboo board. Might not be any better than plastic, if not worse.

I assume mineral oil is safe, like if it leeches into wood and then in to your food?

Not only is it safe, it sanitizes surfaces and has many health benefits.

Newsflash:
About 1 billion bacteria crawling on your skin right now.
Over 1,000 different species...

And don't get me started about what's "inside" you right now.
Amazing... we survived millions of years without "CLOROX" 😆
