I have taught middle schoolers for years. For a few years, I used to spend good money on full sized quality pencils with erasers attached. Kids walk up to the desk and "need" pencils to do work. I used to give them out and after class see broken pencil shatters all over the room and the adjacent hallway area.

I switched rooms and the retired teacher left two largish boxes of similar pencils to these in a cabinet. I give those out now, and frankly, they can all jam them in their asses when they are finished with them for all I care. The work gets done, I am still not sharpening a hundred pencils,, i don't spend a fortune and I don't see as many broken pieces.

I will be buying a box of these when I run out eventually.
