Does it matter much if all the tools are brushed?

Can anyone attest to the wead eaters effectiveness due to it being battery powered? My back yard has very thick vegatation. Thanks

I've got a 20 volt Worx, and it doesn't have much power for heavy stuff. I used my old corded tool the other day, and the difference was ridiculous. I'd go with at least a 40 volt, if you have tough growth.

Get what you pay for with these tools. Would NOT call this a deal. Will get maybe 10-15 minutes of run time on the trimmer, and all of the tools are sorely underpowered.

I have this model. Its definitely a light duty trimmer. It is not a classic weed eater for bulk duty. Its fairly short (I'm 5"9" and I have to hunch a bit) and the 2amp battery is good for maybe 10-15 minutes of trim duty by which time you want to stretch. It works great for my needs but sometimes I have to use 2 2amp batteries or one of the 6amp batteries from another purchase.
P.S. It uses the same trimmer heads as the Black and Decker refills you find in every big box store and Amazon. I had a dozen or so of them from my corded B&D and was delighted when they fit perfectly. Easy to respool but they are like 3 for 15-20 on Amazon - generic ones are even cheaper.

40v system or higher. You can watch demos of weed eaters from any brand cutting down thick weeds. Just watch how much they need to go over one spot before moving on.
Or edging. If it can't keep up walking at a normal pace down the curb, underpowered.
20v? Light, fine grass and that's it. Thicker and bogs down sweeping the same spot over and over.
40v+. Power!

A ton of other factors that'll turn a 10 minute trim into a half hour+ waste of time.

If you have a larger or thicker yard hard to beat gas 2 cycle for the years of use and no need to buy batteries which are not cheap. If you have a small easy yard and already on this power tool format then this makes total sense.

I pretty much switch over to craftsman but their batteries are junk. All the new ones I get from Ace and Lowe's are dead. My cheap knockoffs work though. I also have a dewalt to craftsman adapter I use with my knockoff dewalt batteries (not my authentic ones). So with that said, in hindsight. I'd go all RYObi. The craftsman and RYObi have all the tools varieties and that's the only reason I prefer them over other brands.
