How do we receive the $10 ecb when ordering online? Paper receipt upon picking up? Thanks
Placed order. Hope it's a better experience than Walgreens and no glitch
What to buy now lol
Edit: so I did some google, and I should send it to card? Then it's one month expiration? Heck it's been so long since I last shopped at cvs, I'm so confused
Ready to rep you all once I figure all this out lol

Hey everyone, I'm posting this to warn you about a seriously frustrating and, frankly, deceptive experience with CVS and ExtraBucks (EB). I feel like we're getting scammed, and I want to save others from falling into this trap. On my last purchase, I fulfilled the requirements to earn EB, but I never received them. It was a massive hassle—I had to call customer service and stay on the phone for over an hour to finally get my EB. The rep confirmed I met all the demands, but it still didn't process correctly.
Fast forward to today: I was making another purchase to earn $6 and $5 EB by buying two toothpastes and spending $15 on mouthwash. I hit the $15 threshold for the mouthwash and verified that I met all the demands before proceeding. BUT HERE'S THE SHADY PART—when I applied my existing EB to the order at the end, it lowered the total cost of the mouthwash below the $15 threshold. ⚠️ I only noticed this by chance because, after getting burned on my last transaction, I was extra cautious this time. I went back to check the ExtraBucks reward tracker (which shows how close you are to earning rewards) and that's when I saw it: for every ExtraBuck I redeemed, the qualifying price of the mouthwash dropped by the same amount. So, on the receipt, it looks like I'm getting the mouthwash for cheaper than I actually am, but in reality, it's just knocking me under the threshold to earn new EB.
I didn't process the order because I'm not willing to deal with these shenanigans. I'm convinced this is what happened on my previous order too. Redeeming EB shouldn't lower the qualifying price of an item if I've already met the threshold before applying them. It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and I'm honestly questioning the fairness of this practice. Has anyone else run into this? I think CVS might be pulling a fast one on us with this new policy. If you've got more experience with their system, please chime in and confirm if this is how they're handling EB now. Just a major heads-up to double-check your totals and thresholds when using EB on qualifying purchases—don't get caught off guard like I did last time. I almost fell for it again today, but my caution saved me!
