Not the best, text isn't sharp. Great for gaming, ok for productivity
OLED isn't your answer, no matter which brand you're looking at. The sub-pixel arrangement will always make text blurry, and OLED is a bad idea for productivity or stock charts due to burn in. Every OLED has been shown to have burn in after only a few months with static elements constantly on the screen, like productivity app, or browser elements, etc. You want mini-led if you want a monitor with similar-ish performance without the aforementioned issues.

Doesn't mini led look better

They generally perform slightly below OLED in most aspects, except for brightness and text clarity. They're close in most other aspects, though. They'll never have the contrast or response time of OLED's because of the limitations of the technology, but the good ones are getting close enough that the average person wouldn't notice the difference during normal use. In well lit rooms, nothing really beats a mini-led, as they quality ones can get incredibly bright (to the point of hurting your eyes if the room isn't bright) and still have fantastic contrast and black levels.

RGB mini led is the future but neither lg nor Samsung has the tech.

What are characteristics you look for in a monitor if you want productivity based buy? I thought oleds were supposed to be good for that?

I've heard text looks bad but I'm also of the belief that people are spoiled with quality technology these days If you survived with sub-hd resolution TN panels, you'll probably be fine. I think this monitor with a 9070xt/5070ti is a perfect match. 5k2k needs 4090/5090 for similar/greater performance
I got the Asus version for 750 over a month ago. Would def gotten this if it was this price. Use it for gaming on PC and working on a Mac.
Text looks fine on Mac. Dark mode on windows is hardly noticable. Black text on white background on windows looks pretty bad though. You can try setting up clear text on windows and it will help some.
It's Costco, try for a few days and return if not satisfied.

I have Corsair 45" oled with LG matrix. It's blowing your mind in gaming. Yes, the text is blurry at the first couple of months, but then you barely notice it.

For productivity it'd be pixel density if you're going with OLED because it'll help with text clarity but this also depends if you're doing video or photo editing. You'll want the monitor to be color accurate with good brightness and contrast. Image retention can be an issue with OLED monitors but anecdotally has never been an issue for me and I've had one for a few years. Refresh rate doesn't really matter for productivity.

True of all ultrawide panels. There are some non-ultrawides using improved subpixel layouts that most reviewers seem pleased with.

Can anyone recommend a good combo productivity/gaming monitor? My job by day, my kids gaming station for after school?

Get a 120hz-240hz mini-led monitor. That's what I use for productivity and gaming all in-one

I went from a 49" Samsung to this one but ended up returning it. Currently trying the latest LG Ultragear 32" 4K oled w/2.1 Display Port (vs 1.4). Only cuz I got $500 off it as an open-box from best buy.

How are you liking it, I'm actually trying to decide between the two . The 34 version of this and the 32 OLED 4k dual mode
