Side note: I'm toying with the thought if modifying them to be usable. Use my bench grinder and take down the lumps. It can't get worse.

(I have both old and new so I can compare them side by side)
I noticed the bottom became a LOT harder and the slide itself has become a bit narrower making it fit a lot more "snug". So, a guy like me who has wide feet find new design a lot less comfortable even when sizing up.
