Newegg is such a nightmare for anything related to returns. I'd wait for this deal to hit Amazon, I'd rather deal with them - counterfeit SSDs and all

But it says right on there that it shouldn't fail for 171 years

No different than any budget tier drive, or frankly any drive, always backup. All these drives use the same commodity parts, its nothing magical.

Sketchy chinesium for the price of name brand with a more trustworthy warranty. I'm not impressed.

Yep forums filled with unhappy people showing failed drives after a few months. Orico is using cheap NAND thats for sure. And in shezhen these drives are retailing for $15-20 so it's still overpriced here.

It's just a cache, it's been over a decade since real slc drives like x25e have existed. All drives have this cache as cope.

I swear there are people paid to bash Newegg.. Never once had a bad experience with Newegg in the past 25 years. Not once.. they're my goto for computer parts. I never got the generic of the brand I paid for on newegg.. but i did get that at amazon and some other tech sites.

I just need a cheap ssd for some games on a mini pc. I'd love a better brand but I'm impatient and nothing critical will be lost if/when this dies.

No different than any drive... I've never heard that phrase used in computing. What's Linus up to these days? Teaching the tech fanbase how to store Christmas lights so they last a few years?

No idea what you are referencing, and no I'm not a fan of that shady Canadian who's politics have ruined his country.
