I have run out of sandwiches to BOGO at Arby's.

Once I found out they boil their burgers because they have no grill; I then just stayed with ordering their cold cut sandwiches. Then I ran into chewy things in their roast beef and turkey sandwiches and now I am just sticking to their fried chicken and fish sandwiches.

I have to state though that their gyros are really good (even though cold cut) and I have never had a chewy piece of gyro meat. Their market fresh sandwich is really good too (but one can get chewy things in the cold cut).

Update:
So apparently with this BOGO deal, one can get the limited time sweet or spicy pulled pork quarter pound sandwiches, or the sweet and spicy quarter pound brisket sandwiches.

I may have to make a trip tomorrow.

Arby's Double Bacon burger is $13.79, so it's competing with Five Guys on price, but I think Five Guys makes a clearly better burger at roughly the same price point. Arby's biggest flaw is that they're using much cheaper and processed shredded lettuce instead of fresh whole leaf on a $10+ burger. Even Wendy's Single ($7 locally) uses fresh whole leaf lettuce. Aside from that, Arby's Double is actually TOO tall to bite easily. The patties are huge and thick, where Carl's is wide and flat. The BOGO is a lot of burger for a fair deal, but I sure wouldn't pay $13+ for it at regular menu.

It's too bad the 5 for $5 won't be coming back.
