I would not buy an apple computer with the primary intention of gaming.

That being said, solid device at a solid price. This is twice the ram and storage close to the original sale price of the base m3 pro.

My M1 Pro still feels this way; but this looks enticing. Just way more of a "want" than a need.

36 GB is good for if you need to run VMs. Apples Virtualization Framework works really well on Apple Silicon.

It is not; you can see for yourself on the website by making sure your location in the top nav bar is set to "Shippable Items," then an orange drop-down menu will appear and show you the in-stock status at each of their stores. Well over half of MC locations still have this in stock.

Well, even a measly Chromebook could feel peppy enough to not draw negative attention about performance inadequacies. Obviously your workloads may not demand that kind of performance. I suspect, you may find a MacBook Air to be good enough (in terms of performance) too.

All I was trying to politely say is that your comment in response to my original comment (about the performance of the M3 pro vs m4 processor) was pretty useless and an obvious comment (adding a YMMV at the end did not really add any more information)
