Not as comfortable. These are more lifestyle shoes while Hokas and UB are high quality running shoes.

Just got my pair of 998s through this deal last week, great shoes and my second pair. Definitely like the quality for the price. And to answer the question about comfort, definitely surprising comfortable, regularly pick these when going on a long walk over my UBs when I need a better looking shoe.

Anyone has experience with these unisex models? Are the toeboxes narrower than the Men's models?

If you were a fan of the PBS show Zoom, these sneakers have the ZIP code 02134 emblazoned inside.

These are super comfortable for how basic the foam soles look. Way more comfortable than similar looking 574s (I learned this the hard way, no pun intended). And the materials are noticeably more premium.

Note: if you're into these, check out your local New Balance Outlet store for other miUSA shoes.

No. It's a lifestyle/fashion sneaker.

I have these, some 990v6, 9060 etc alongside my running shoes. They're not "uncomfortable" but don't expect a cloud like experience. Among those, the 990v6 with the Fuel Cell is probably the most comfortable but even then, the Fuel Cell formulation used is nothing like the ones found in the Rebel for example. Still on the firm end.

Here's a good review of them.

https://runrepeat.com/new-balance...e-softness

The softness measures at 33 HA. Most running shoes are ~ 20. Soft ones like the Nimbus are around 15. UBER soft shoes like NB More V5 are closer to 10 and sometimes below. Hoka run the gamut but nowhere near 33 HA.

Yes. Bought the 998 and not good for wide feet.

Bought the 2002r and it's better.

Bought the 2002r and it's better. Plenty models on sale for 89-99 bucks in footlocker.

Picked up the Grey/Silver 996 for $79.97. The ones with the blue were a little bit too "hairy" for me. Thank OP.

Is it possible that the price could drop to $55?

They are comfortable but nothing is more comfortable than ultraboost or hoka especially after you broke your feet on smoosh clouds. They are retro runners but usually made in USA is more premium materials.

Not likely since they are made in USA. The materials are more premium.
