Bought this for $1999.99 at Costco 3 days ago, then saw this same one at Sam's Club for $1196.99. Snagged the last one in a store 22 miles away. Needless to say, Costco one going back! This is less than the price I paid for my son's 55" LGC4 at Christmas.

Herein lies the rub: My TV was on hold to pick up today in another city. I get there, and they've pulled a floor display unit ("it's the only one we have!") which, we estimate given the TV data, has been played in excess of 8700 hrs!!! Needless to say I was angry and said I never agreed to and paid for a display model. I was offered a $200 gift card on top of the discount and agreed to try it out. It had no box or packing, etc, but will still have the Allstate 5 yr. warranty. YMMV and kudos to those who managed to snag new-in-box deals! I guess under $1000 + tax isn't too bad for this model.

Crap, so I was rushing to check out on the Sam's club website and didn't realized that the Allstate Coverage was free. I think I saw when checking out that it was $139, then I quickly looked to see if it covered burn-in, which it doesn't so I deselected it, not realizing that in my cart it would be discounted to free. Does anyone know if I'm screwed or if I can get the coverage added after the fact?

That's a good enough price to give it a shot.
Use youtube video test demo's to look for burn in. I'm happy with my sony 77" 80j refurb which had hours on it but I tested it to be sure it still looked fresh before keeping it.

I got one but beware. Sams will post the lower price on the website then when you go to pay, it shows the higher price. I took all sorts of screen shots, with dates to prove I paid more than the advertised price. The store asst. manager didn't want to honor it because it just shows the city on the screenshot, not the store. I had already called corporate who told me first that I just had to pick up the TV and they would honor the "price match" for their own price. I ended up having to call Corporate 3 times, with the store asst. manager standing there (he didn't want to do something that would get him in trouble). Even though they had documented it, It had to be escalated to a supervisor who after all the calls tells me she is doing me a "one time courtesy" to discount it because usually the price only goes down when the product is out of stock. When I asked her why did the store advertise it at the lower price when I finally found a store that still had 3 in stock and purchased it for the higher price, she was baffled. What is interesting is that the store had already knocked $200 off on the TV's on their floor to 1799, but I finally got the $1196 price. Whew, and that only took an hour drive and standing in the store for another hour to finally get the "price match for their own advertised price". What a huge hassle. And I did have to look for most every store in our Metro area.

TL;DR:If you placed a Sam's Club pickup order, it's not held for you until your pickup time. Your item can still be sold off the floor to someone else before then. I recommend going in person and buying it directly if it's showing in stock — even if it shows as "out of stock" online, it might still be physically available.I had placed an order for in-store pickup for Thursday (once I'd have a vehicle large enough for transport). However, my order status remained stuck on "Order Placed" — not even "In Progress" or "Ready for Pickup." That had me concerned, so I stopped by the store to check whether the item would at least be set aside.Turns out, they don't hold the item until it's time to actually fulfill the order. I was told they only pull it off the floor once your pickup window arrives, and they can't set it aside in advance. I asked if that meant someone could just walk in and buy it before then, and they said yes — in which case my order would be canceled due to lack of stock.I then asked if I could just pick it up that same day instead, and they said they couldn't prep it before the scheduled time on my order. So in my case, I ended up purchasing one of the three remaining units directly off the floor and canceled my online order. Ironically, all three were technically already "sold" online (when you check online, the item shows out of stock at that location), but they were still available for anyone to buy in person.Long story short: if you're serious about getting it, go in person and buy it directly. Yes, it might screw over someone else's online order, but better that than have yours canceled too. And if you are a person who placed an online order with a later pick-up date/time, I'd suggest you head to the store to get one of the TV's ASAP before they get sold and your order gets cancelled.
I was in exactly the same boat, Thursday pickup. I took the chance. 30 mins before my pickup window, got a notice it was ready. Not sure if I was lucky or different stores have difference policies. I should have gone in the store to see if I could find it on the floor first, but I didn't.

found 1 but still priced at 1999
The Bryant Irvin Ft. Worth store has them marked down to 1799 in store. If you can find it online at 1196.99, take lots of screenshots for proof if you want any help getting it because when you go to purchase, the price in your cart will be higher.

I can see one around $1799. Can I order it and do the price match through their manager?
Every store sets their own price. If you can get a screenshot of them advertising the TV for 1196 then yes, but they don't care if it is listed for the lower price another store. I even had a CS person tell me she didn't care if the price was their own store. No one wants to "get in trouble" knocking $800 off the price. Escalate it to a store manager or better yet a CS supervisor at corporate.

I was able to match the price with Best Buy through chat, and it will be delivered this weekend.
Curious if they include a 5 year warranty and who through.
