My local Lowe's is clearing out Ego 16" saw bars. I might be wrong, but most bars are interchangeable across brands. Might be a good time to grab a backup.

Great find! Many of the 16" bars accommodate .050 gauge saw chain while this bar has .043. If you are looking to replace the bar and chain on another brand please bring your bar in to compare it with the ego. You may be able to adjust the oil hole with a dremel. Just a heads up.

These have been on clearance for this price for at least a year now. I know because I accidentally bought a second one thinking it was the 10" I'd gotten the first time.

I have echo power pruners that have 12" bars. I know Stihl makes one that will take 14" bar.
I am like you I like to improvise. A 16" bar on a pole saw would be a conversation piece and worthy of a youtube video. Some of those pole saws are plastic. Do you plan on adding extra metal bracing? Best if luck. It would be a lot of fun if you made a pole saw into a beast.
