If you really want that 800R curve then this is ok, but it regularly goes on sale for this price at various retailers. If you don't like the 800R curve then you'd probably prefer the Alienware AW3425DW with an 1800R curve. It is not on sale at Amazon, but the "normal" MSRP is $799, which is $100 less than this LG.
Personally, the 800R curve is far too aggressive for my tastes.
I was looking for an ultrawide monitor with a USB-C display.
I ordered this one from an LG partner website because it came with a free 27" FHD monitor plus a 10% off coupon.
The monitor will arrive next week, so I can't say anything about it yet.

I bought this recently and totally agree. The curve is an adjustment. Going to give it a week before final decisions.

Plus Dell always has sales and there's usually a generous amount of cashback available. It's QD-OLED instead of W-OLED though, which to me is an advantage overall, but does come at the cost of higher black levels in a fairly bright room.
If you spend the money for a monitor like this, get an extended warranty. I really liked my last LG Ultrascreen, but there was wide spread issues with them and mine eventually hit one of those issues with no support. That said, I see now they give a 2 year warranty vs the 1 year I had.

Just got the LG 39GS95QE-B last month. It's the w-oled version of this monitor without the smart features. The curve is an adjustment but if you mount it on an arm it negates most issues. The resolution is great for gaming since its less pixels to push than 4k but with better FPS as a trade. It can also do 12bit color which is nice. Got mine from BuyDig for $750.
