This works perfect for a Ninja Woodfire smoker. I have had no connectivity issues for 6+ hr cooks and have had ample battery life remaining (above 75%) when removing after resting.
Temp readings match my Thermapen and it is surprisingly well made for the price. I like that the case is USB-C rechargeable and doubles as an ambient + internal temp display with alarm so you don't have to rely on a cloud app.
It's well worth it at this price IMO. Especially so when you are considering other established brands at more than double the price. I have had a good experience with Govee products in the past (LEDs, smart bulbs) and this is another solid product that just works.

And not only that ... for my wired Govee, the phone needs to have "location services" enabled ... to get the connection to the Bluetooth device. Uhhh, yeah.
On the real, I seriousIy love Govee products and own a bunch of their lights, curtains, water sensors, and air purifiers. But this seems like an impulse buy if you are already into the Govee eco system as if you already bought into a certain brand of tools and just adding another considering the sale cost vs MSRP. At the same time seeing how Govee usually knocks it out of the park with smart devices, quality and value, I am sure this is a quality smart thermometer that is definitely worth it at this price. If I baked and grilled more I definitely would be in for one. Would have been all over deal last month for Mother's Day. Think I may pick one up to have to give for Christmas.
It's nice to see Govee deals on SD. They deserve it considering their quality control and customer support. I am sure as the company gets even bigger we will see more deals posted in the future.

Nice being able to monitor temps, set alarms, etc.
The main unit the probes plug into is outside the smoker/grill... has display of temps and is magnetic as a plus.
