Don't fall into the trap. These games are designed to be 2nd jobs.
Yeah seriously. I loved playing them but to keep up, you truly had to dedicate your firstborn to the traveler and hope he finds favor on you. Otherwise, it's a waste of time. Even the crucible can get frustrating with people having OP'ed exotics that they paid for
I wouldn't waste your time.

Lmfao, there is not a SINGLE exotic that has come from the season pass that is OP in any way, and they are mostly garbage guns. I play PvP daily, and none of them are used. The builds, armor, and farming the craftable weapons is what makes people better.

Going to update. Sony originally had the 28th but they changed it to the 30th. You can see their edit here.

I totally agree. I bought the original Destiny at release and Destiny 2. I have never spent as much time on a game as I did with Destiny from 2014-2019. It was fun and stressful Raiding (especially when I had a bunch of friends to play with) but it just became overwhelming and too much of a grind. You had to play almost daily to keep up with everything (new armor, weapons, power levels). Left for 2 years and got back into it heavy for about 6 months but it was just the same cycle all over again. Will probably pick this up since it's free just to have something else to play, but I will never go back to being a regular player. Just way too much of a grind and I don't want to pledge allegiance to Crota again.

No, Bungie (dev studio) is falling apart. They too focused on another game Marathon that is also failing. SONY is about to pull the plug on them. So overall - no.

One of the reasons I stopped caring about "expansive" games. For the amount of time these games take up you could get a college degree or learn a trade.

This is the same for NBA 2K25. It's basically a full-priced AAA game with F2P mechanics everywhere you go. It's basically designed to give you FOMO and want to pay more real money into the game. They've already made a ton of money off of it and with the NBA season almost over, they want to capitalize on the excitement of the NBA playoffs and get more new players to put more money into a game that's not going to get a lot of new players otherwise. You know a game is bad when it's preferable to pay real money to advance in the game than to actually play it.

I think gamers are finally wising up to the "forever" games -- the ones that are designed to occupy your every living second and minute.

Whether it's an online game with daily grind quests, or bloated messes from Ubisoft and the like. With the price of games getting more expensive, people are finally starting to work on their backlogs instead, and turning their nose up at these games that don't respect their time as much as other quality titles.

Once these era is over, we can finally start seeing more quality games which will probably come in the next generation.

Im new to Destiny 2 and started playing about two months ago. It's very fun at the start but can get stale fast after I finished the latest expansion. Would like to experience end game at least once but it seems most only wants to group with experienced and max geared people only. Grinding to get 2010+ gear. I won't be continuing after in terms of future content. $40 each x2 "expansion" a year. No thank you. I'll still play the past expansions though. Again not a bad game overall but lacking value for what I see them giving.

tbh Destiny is just a rinse and repeat of the same damn enemies with new costumes and some made up storyline with every good character dying somehow but Zavala even tho he is the most trash of them

I played for many years and gave up on it about a year ago. Paying +$100 every year with what seemed like recycled content just wasn't worth it anymore. It's time for them to move on anyways. The game came out about 8 years ago. Bungie has lost their spark from the glory Halo days.
they havent been the same since! just milking profits from foolishness like Rockstar with GTA Online
