This is a lukewarm deal, if you want to get a 9800x3d bundle right this instant it isn't bad, but it certainly isn't incredible either. Around $680-$750 is about par for the course when it comes to 9800x3d bundles, though this one at least has a pretty good motherboard. There have been two newegg pc builder flash sales in the past few months (15% off when you buy 4 or more components) that offered far better value, if you're not eager to build right now it might be worthwhile to wait in the hope newegg runs that promotion again.

Alternatively, if you aren't super hung up on getting the absolute highest end gaming cpu possible, you could get the 7800x3d ( https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-...6819113793 ) + GIGABYTE B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE Mobo ( https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E1681...6813145500 ) + CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 6000 Ram ( https://www.newegg.com/corsair-32...6820982058 ) + WD_BLACK 2TB SN850X Ssd ( https://www.newegg.com/western-di...6820250247 ) for $659.36. Just add all of those to cart, making sure they're all "sold and shipped" by newegg.
While that bundle also isn't quite as good as some we've seen in the past, by swapping out for the 7800x3d and a moderately worse b650e motherboard (as a reminder, x870 is just b650e with madatory usb4 support), it's not only $40 cheaper but you also get a 2tb sn850x included, which is a very good high end gen4 ssd that normally goes for ~$130 on sale. The 9800x3d is best case scenario 10%-15% faster than the 7800x3d in gaming (at 1080p using an rtx 4090 or stronger), so the price premium for the 9800x3d generally isn't worth it imo. By the time the difference in their gaming performance is meaningful at any resolution above 1080p, you'd probably want to upgrade your cpu regardless.

Once again though, if you don't feel an urgent need to upgrade/build, it might be better just to wait for a better deal to come along.
This category is completely exempt from additional duties. Computer parts and accessories (HTSUS 8473.30) – Includes components of computers of heading 8471, e.g. hard disk drives, motherboards, graphics cards, and other accessories used in computers. These computer parts are also exempt from additional duties. It's funny when people try to correct me and are wrong!
except pc's are exempt from tariffs so your just wrong

You got told and are wrong. How does it feel knowing you're inaccurate?

Microcenter had 7800x3d + motherboard + ram = $470, never forget. Love inflation, tariffs are fantastic, America is winning too hard.
There are no tariffs on this

I second that, stay away from Newegg and their new parts that are used, which they will deny warranty or return. Not the same company they used to be and you are just playing the lottery, go with micro center, amazon, ect.

Along with scalpers and companies taking advantage. But prices were not inflated last November. It is affecting prices. Trying to say it is not in one form or another is wrong when it is super obvious to anyone looking at prices. As for this deal. It is good. Same price as Microcenter but this mobo imo is a better board. I am holding out for the next series of Ryzen chips. This mobo only has 2 sata ports. Which is weird, typical is 6. Has 4 m.2 spots so I suppose they think you will fill all your storage needs with that. But only 2 sata ports for legacy storage is not a lot.
nope I said tariffs, I said nothing about economic uncertainty, any form of chaos, inflation, price gouging or anything other than PC's and components are exempt from tariffs please don't put words in my mouth then attribute those incorrect words to me being wrong. I am not sure where you got your illogical brain from but it doesn't appear to function properly!

Yeah, the constant threat of tariffs is creating uncertainty in the economy. The constant will there or won't there be tariffs is causing companies to freeze buying decisions and slowing the supply chain which will drive up prices. This is not complicated to understand. Like I previously typed, you have an agenda to push to try and make it seem like tariffs are not altering costs that people are currently paying on PC parts. GamersNexus literally made a 2 hour video a month ago where they went to some of the largest PC component companies in the world, Corsair etc... and spoke the heads of those companies about this exact situation. They all must be wrong because some random on Slickdeals said so. Sure.

What's a good GPU to match up with this CPU? Everything I check on the bottleneck website states it is bottle necked. Was waiting for a 5070 or 5060 ti or 5070 ti. Or I use my 3080 ti until Nvidia releases their 5070/5080 super.

Many companies increased prices 3 months before tariffs were even starting, companies will make whatever excuse they want to jack up prices and go ahead and believe what you want. Any company that isn't a mom and pop shop front loaded U.S warehouses with product then they shipped in more product and front loaded bonded warehouses then they had cargo ships leave with more product on cargo ships that had launch dates prior to tariffs ( you see they are based on the ships sailing date not the day they are announced so any company selling non perishable goods saying tariffs are affecting prices either has very poor management skills or are lying just so people like you can eat up the fake news! Will tariffs increase prices probably at some point but we just had the 2nd 90 day delay so if you have an idea and actually follow what goes on not just catches the 5 o'clock fake news and eats it up nom nom you can be better informed. Gonna go ahead and block you cause your just going to argue more and I can't fix stupid!

After viewing this post, why do I get the feeling Newegg is up to their antics again, bundling less desirable overstock in an effort to dump it onto the consumer.
