I was about to buy a dremel like tool from Harbor Freight yesterday but I couldn't make up my mind. Other than battery vs corded, what is the difference? I plan on using it to cut holes for switches to empty slot on my cars dash. Other than that I wpuld use it for car repair/ maintenance. I'm not sure what else I would use it for....

I bought this same one last year on clearance from Wal Mart b/c I noticed it could cut metal and I didn't own any tools that could do that. Something I'd like to try in the near future is to trim the bottom of a wooden fence gate that scraps along the ground. Both these use cases are demonstrated by a guy here:

Dremel has a 30 second commercial with various uses like sanding, rust ~ coating removal, and grout removal:

You can look into it more by searching oscillating tool uses (also known as a multi tool)

Lowes had it for $50 just a few days ago, but ran out fast of course.

That one was also 1 battery instead of 2

It was a good price at $50 (even with just 1 battery), but at this price, is rather just buy into a battery ecosystem that has more tools. The DeWalt XR routinely goes down to this price point. Am I missing something? I purchased this on the $50 deal the other day without thinking about it. I'm planning on returning it though.
