This color actually looks good... but if everything else is black then no, the fake wood grain they use looks decent.

Yea, definitely. I like walnut, but I already have 2x rpii bookshelves and a center in black.

There is nothing for music in this price range. No mater what they tell you. Difference will be minimal. These are actually great for rock and metal. Not so much for instrumental, jazz, etc. Each person is different, and you need to listen to the speakers. I tested likely 20 in the 500-2000 range, all were pretty different, but I kept HSU CCB for rock and HT and Kef R3 for other music.

That's a bit of a contradicting opinion.

I would take that challenge.

For $50 more I would take these Revels Concerta2s, for any content you use especially music.

For me I would even take them over those R3s especially for the price difference.

My issue with Klipsch is that these are marketed as home theater speakers, but they don't have (to my knowledge) a matching 3-way center channel speaker. The 2-ways have poor off-axis performance in every test that I've seen.

Oh this is actually a pretty important thing to know, thanks. Saved me some hassle.

Keep in mind, that belief is for people that go mainly by measurements.

If you go by audibly, their centers are very well liked.
Here is just one example, that matches well with this model in my experience.

There several towers and bookshelf's that gives a more neutral sound for music. If you are young the klipsch are great or if you get like a Wiim with a power amp using the eq you can Taylor to your taste. I have the rf 7iii and having a eq is a necessity as my old years can't deal with the high freq of those horn tweeters

You say 'belief' as if it's an opinion, but it's factually accurate data; most 2-way center channel speakers have dead zones that can make dialog hard to hear for anyone not sitting in the optimal listening position.
