A good upgrade if you are on an older AM4 CPU and don't want to change platforms. Still a very capable setup for most people.
I run a 5700X and it is never my bottleneck at any resolution while gaming. Does well for music and video production too. This is more CPU than 99% of people need, so it's a great option if you're already on AM4.

Coupon doesn't seem to be working for me Frown. That would've been nice.
I'm debating between just upgrading my CPU from Ryzen 7 1700 or complete rebuild with Ryzen 9 9900X.

My current mobo is Gigabyte GA-AB350-GAMING 3 with B350. It's probably too old to run with 5900XT, huh? It's currently running Ryzen 7 1700. I'm looking to get more core (12 or 16). I guess I should bit the bullet and upgrade to AM5 instead?

Thanks @stibuki! You brought me a bit of hope... but
I dig in further and my PCB is rev 1.0 and sadly think it's end of the road for me.
https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Suppo...r/FAQ/4333
"AMD X370/B350 MB with PCB rev1.0 for an AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor upgrade
If an AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor will be used, please check the paired motherboard whether is featured with AMD X370/ B350 chipset and the PCB version is marked rev1.0. If so, the rev1.0 PCB needs to be reworked by local RMA to improve the compatibility of the above processor support. Other PCB versions (i.e., rev1.1 and beyond) would be no problem for the above processor support."
