Apple already has their own trackers, these third parties need to push Android trackers, there's such a huge market! I wonder if it's Google just making certification difficult..

To no one's surprise it's Apple who's been bottlenecking the android tracker market since Google has stated multiple times they're not gonna release products not properly integrated into Apples ecosystem to prevent bad actors from abusing them. According to Google ball is in Apples court 🤷 ♂️
After the previous discussion on a different thread regarding Android tags, I did get the Samsung Smart Tag since I have the Samsung phone. It works pretty good ! It uses other Samsung phones to keep tag. If you have the iPhone, I cannot imagine using any other brand but Apple's AirTag as it is known as the best in the field.

I'm not in android phone ecosystem anymore but do the Galaxy SmartTags not work with the UTag app across androids anymore?

I've been using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DP7LCN67, works like a charm.
Interoperability with Apple airtags is probably more challenging.
