This the voltage problem has. However, this is fixed by microcode (update your motherboard's firmware.) Operating systems also provide updated microcode.

And LGA 1700 is LGA 1700, correct? No weird things I need to be concerned with? Currently have a i5-13400F on a MSI PRO B760-VC WIFI.Anyone know what the DRM provider is for the games, Steam, Epic, etc?
It's steam codes after verifying your CPU is in your build by running an intel software check on the PC.

Delivery in 10 days or less.

All the old PC builders will remember the AMD bulldozer days when they were giving those things away. But the 2500k was sitting there saying, don't do it.

I'm glad you addressed this. I've had this CPU for a year and had no idea it was included in the list of CPUs that can have the degradation issue. Gonna update my mobos firmware tonight.

Oof. May be a bit late. All 13 and 14 gen Intel CPU's are included minus a few very low end processors. The BIOS update will stop the degradation but doesn't reverse it. So if your CPU has been damaged, it can't be undone. Good news though is that they have a 5 year warranty. So if you see issues, I would return it asap.

Only thing to be concerned about is to have the motherboard updated with the latest BIOS available before you put the new CPU in so it doesn't the get damaged.

but it will reduce the performance and will be slower than original spec.
I don't want to replace CPU too often after I built.

No for me.

Luckily I haven't seen any issues with launching games or anything thus far. I'm not even sure how Microcenter would deal with it if I tried to bring it back a year later. Also my buddy has been trying to RMA his with Intel for the past 6 months and they basically don't respond. His is actually cooked. He has to put his CPU into low power mode when booting into any game, then change it back to normal mode once the game launches. It's dogsh**.

$10 rebate is not valid. The rebate is on images.newegg.com, but when you enter the rebate info on the MSI page you get "There are no offers available at this time. If you feel this is in error, please contact our Customer Service Department using the link above. Thank you."

CPU is more resilient than one might think. Mine suffered at the beginning, but after the bios update, it runs great. At this price it is a great deal for a entry to mid level build.
