Nothing truly shrinks pores, but AHA/BHA can shrink the appearance by getting and keeping the gunk out.

How does this compare to other generic toners? I am getting older, want a good routine, I've been using Cerave Hydrating Face Toner.

This shows $18.90 as regular price, not $31.00.

It depends on your goals (ie, what you don't like or want to maintain in your skin currently). Common things would be like reduce wrinkles/lines, reduce redness, smooth skin, etc. It also depends where on your face you want to target (eg, under eyes).

Personally I would not recommend this product for the price. Personally I would prefer a gentle, non-active toner (allowing more regular use than once a day if necessary) - which I think would also end up cheaper. I have tried a few, currently I'm using Pyunkang Yul [amazon.com]which was sort of trendy on tiktok for a while but is well reviewed by actual experts too. Last time I was in costco they had a sale on TIRTIR Milk Skin Toner so I have that ready to test out too (I've used it a couple days and it seems good). Keeping the toner simple also helps make sure it's not going to cause any issues with other products in your routine.

A good cleanser + a good toner is a nice first basic step that should help keep your skin hydrated and clean. From there I would recommend looking at treatments targeting anything more specific you want (if you want!). Cosrx is a generally-good K-brand (a nice addition just for moisture is their Snail 96 essence which is excellent and not that expensive). They also have some solid anti-redness and anti-aging products. I also trust products from The Ordinary which are usually a good balance of quality and price and easier to get since they are an American company (they are owned by Estée Lauder)

Ok, thanks. I've still been using my Cerave but I did end up buying this, although I don't have it yet. I've seen Corsx at TJ Maxx and also amazon. Starting to get some lines around the eyes, I'm a guy, I think we're given more leeway on lines but I'd like to minimize them if possible.
