The list price is $6,600, and it's going for $987.51 with code HD417 I'm deeply tempted and also deeply confused by this: it's new, but this is a pre-owned price point.

Good deal? Maybe. Original price? I doubt it's ever sold at anywhere near $6.6k. Seems the only place selling this new is MyGiftShop.

I would stick with Rolex - Breitling- Omega - Tag- less expensive Hamilton, Tissot, Seiko etc - just my brands a currently own. My opinion only. Looks like a good watch. But no one has ever heard of the name. Lol - And smart watches. Garmin Fenix 8. I wear it a month without charging.

I've owned a watch by this brand. In fact it was also a Traversetolo, but a manual wind. It was a very nice watch and I had zero issues with it in the 5 or so years I've owned it. It's actually a very good Swiss brand and a good value for the money. No, they're not a Rolex or a PP, but they're in a different segment. These are in the same price, quality and finish as Tissot, Hamilton, Rado, Doxa, Certina, Zodiac and a bunch of other brands that all use the same movement from the same factory.
No, they won't appreciate in value, just like 99.99% of the watches out there.
If you like the way they look, go for it.

Agree. I have a Champion V big date and the fit and finish is astonishing at these prices. You can feel the quality and the impeccable finishing in hand. They aren't tiny but most Swiss auto chronographs aren't sub 40 yet.

Eberhard is a fantastic independent brand with lots of history. I've owned a few and have found them to be on a quality tier closer to Omega and Tag Heuer and a notch above Tissot and Hamilton.
The problem with this watch is the size. 43mm with male end links and over 15mm thick I think you need a wrist over 7in to make this one work.

If it was 40-41in I would own one already.

After doing some research it looks like these would be up market of entry level swiss watches. Like the fact that is still an independent swiss manufacturer and love the sporty yet sophisticated look. I ended up grabbing one. Hell the movement alone is worth 400+. If it is in par or above my Alpina I will consider this a huge win for the price. Like that it is on a bracelet as well.
