Weigel's has 1 free donut today too. They're an East Tennessee-based convenience store and gas station chain, with only 82 locations. IMO their donuts are comparable to the ones found at Ingels grocery stores.

Harris Teeter has $5 1-dozen donuts every Friday, glazed or chocolate covered. I think they are pretty good.

A gas station brand called Maverik acquired them in 2023 and I believe is rebranding all locations (around 400 stores). They've been a chain though with the name since 1975. I know the location near me sold brands apparel in store when I was in college.

I went today because I thought, if there is any time I will remember redeeming my birthday reward from Krispy Kreme, it would be today. I ended up getting a dozen free, but not a free doughnut (baker's dozen) for National Doughnut Day.
Welp, another complaint to corporate.
It is almost becoming a habit now. I am like a mystery shopper, QAer.
