the basic visible is complete trash. can't tell you how many times i was at home depot, costco, or even outside in a strip mall parking lot and unable to get any data
I had that issue when I had a 4G only phone. Now that I have 5G I have really good service in that same area. Not sure if that is what was causing your bad experience. I am not defending Visible
it looks like the plus plan enables 5G UWB, I'm guessing that's it
I'm inclined to say priority doesn't matter as much if you're not getting reception in the first place

I've had the now "legacy" visible plus plan (including smart watch service) for $35/mo, and it's been great.
I was on that plan but was paying $40. I contacted support and now I'm on visible+ pro for $35 for as long as I don't downgrade.

Used visible back in 2019 in Colorado (there were no upgraded plans like today). It was complete TRASH, horrible signal everywhere. Then they came out with visible plus and it was a HUGE upgrade. I've been on it for three years now and I can't recommend it enough. At 30 dollars a month it's a complete steal. I'm considering transferring to google fi because the only weakness I can think of was the poor performance over seas using data sims and I do like to travel. If you're not a traveler then I can't recommend this service enough.

Where do you put in the codes? I'm at the confirm transfer page and haven't been prompted for codes yet.
Last page before you buy. If you are on a laptop/computer the codes should be on the right of the screen

Yeah I dont know. I currently have Verizon and want to switch to Visible as well and their tool is telling me my phone is not compatible either. Im on Verizon, how the heck can my phone not work? Its a Moto One 5G UW. Its an older phone but im completely happy with it.

So i was looking at their phones and they do have good deals on some of their phones but they are always out of stock it seems. I can still get the phone I want directly from Motorola for $100. more though which I dont really want to do

Does anyone know if the phones sold by Visible are carrier specific to just them. I would think they arent but does anyone know?

Maybe the radios? Carriers run specific channels (frequencies) phones can connect to channels. If the phone doesn't have the ability to connect to the channel it MAY be incompatible BUT it may be compatible. I have had a Samsung list (I want to say) 4 of the 5 Verizon channels and it was fantastic service.

Please look into us mobile. They have all 3 major carrier coverage (one at a time) they have dumb/fun naming schemes for the different networks, I am on the Verizon one and their customer support is fantastic (call or chat to ask for help). Their prices may not be the absolute best but imhop the customer service is well worth it. At the very least it would be a good first switch of service they will white glove your move. Once you get a good feel and are ready for a new phone you can "do it yourself" and switch.

Just my opinion, I am not up to date on prices as I am grandfathered in my current plans.(as someone that pays attention to consumer protection, this is the correct way to do this. I signed up for x service at y cost and will renew this agreement for as long as I can. If they want to change x or y I should need to consent to the changes, common sense)

(Personally I make 2 total cost of ownership spreadsheets including phone, one for 3 years and one with 5 years with different options buying vs leasing vs "free" I always end up buying unlocked flagship samsungs).

Verizon signal inside any kind of building where I am is complete garbage. I really wish it wasn't, as I'd dump Tmobile in a heartbeat.

Yup. T-Mobile bought a ton of 600/700mhz which penetrates buildings with ease.

The website does seem to mention a difference in networks among the plans. Basic does not seem to have access to 5G "ultra wideband." So maybe it does unlock more towers to be on the upper plans. Can anyone confirm?

Vz UWB grants more access no doubt. It's their midband and ultra band I recall that you'll get access to. I remember when they switched their plans a while back and I lost access to one of the bands/channels. Instead of 250mbps, I went down to 100mbps but the ping was way better so it was a wash.

Wait till end of year holiday season, I had what would be the pro plan offered to me for $25 for LIFE... Unfortunately the service was so bad I could only last 1.5 months before jumping to mint and just recently changed over to US Mobile. Whatever visible was doing with Verizon was unusable in my area, I switched to US Mobile and also using Verizon and there is better service so it makes no sense unless Visible is somehow on the lowest level of prioritization.

At&t is non existent where I live and T-Mobile doesn't penetrate my home. I had a repeater that worked well. I finally got on visible about 5 years ago and haven't turned back. $25/mo unlimited data. Find me a better deal and I'll look but I haven't seen anything. Service is great. If you wanna watch 4k YouTube on your tiny phone screen, you'll need the higher tier plans. I stream 480/720p with no problem. I use about 100gb a month. No problems at all. I just buy unlocked Moto phones and swap the sims. They have good phone deals as well.

I don't suppose this offer stacks with that back market promo? https://www.visible.com/back-market

I am currently with the Visible plan, specifically their $25/month plan, mainly for its unlimited hotspot data. Not for video viewing on the road, so the bandwidth limit when getting data from the hotspot is not an issue. So far, I am pleased with the plan, and the price is hard to beat...with the promotion, it's $20/month.

Yeah, de-prioritized Verizon is pretty bad. Only reason I'm using it is I got that recent InfiMobile $60/year ($5/month, 5 GB/month) deal (de-prioritized Verizon) on a burner/backup line. But I would never, ever consider using it on a main line. Its reception is so hit-or-miss and nowhere near as reliable or consistent as AT&T or T-Mobile MVNO's in my area (our main 4 lines have been on Cricket for years, all working fine). YMMV of course.
