I have this set and would recommend against it because of the 5 1/2 inch circ. It's so hard to find blades for this size and you'll spend more time and maybe even money in the long run to find them. Not to mention 7 1/4 is just a better option because of the cutting depth

If you just need the jigsaw you can get it for $40.

Add 327848851 after selecting jigsaw as the offer. Set the jigsaw to in store pickup near you, set the battery to in store pickup somewhere else. Place order and click cancel only on the battery. Did this with another one of those tools two days ago.

Doesn't let you do that?

Home Depot has several options for 5-1/2" blades. https://www.homedepot.com/b/Tools...jqZ1z1s9d6

Appreciate the heads up. I thought Home Depot did away with being able to separate the orders. Good to know this hack is still available. Just got my order confirmation for the $40 jigsaw.

I paid $35 for each one last year (refurb) from DTO so this is a decent price for brand new. As long as you don't need brushless and would only use these occasionally you should be fine. I have no issues cutting 2"x4"s and plywood with the 5 1/2. If you need deeper cuts you'll need a 6 1/2 or 7 1/4

I have this circular saw and have used it several time. Good saw for quick and short cuts only. If you are cutting 2x4s and plywood, you should be good. Anything thicker than that, I would suggest getting a better/more powerful saw.

If you swap the blade out for a better one, the circular saw becomes fine. You won't be building a house with it, but you'll be able to make decent cuts without a cord. It's not a ringing endorsement because it's just an ok saw. If you need a better one, I'd buy the brushless one.
Here's the blade I chose.

You don't have to use only 5-1/2". I have used 5-1/4" or 5" ones as alternatives.

Granted you lose a little cutting depth, but if you are just doing plywood/OSB/trim, it doesn't matter.
