The magnetic tin is fantastic. I have collected an enormous pile of them over the years. They are invaluable when working on any project that involves small metal parts. If you work on the cars, the rubber backing is great because you can just stick em on your car anywhere without damage to hold parts. The magnet is pretty strong.

The screwdriver is pretty decent. I actually really like the handle / grip design - I think it's best in class, you have to pay a lot more to get better. My only negative is that the bits rust easily in damp conditions.

People like the lights, but I'm not the biggest fan. They have cheap innards and don't hold up for me. They're fine while they last I guess.
All of them are great as freebies.

Anyone has experience with these items to make a recommendation? or is it all trash? I was planning to go to Harbor Freight regardless this week-end so I might as well pick one of these up.

They're all actually pretty good. HF has given these away as freebies on and off many times in the past.

The multi-bit screwdriver isn't heavy duty, but I've used them a lot in the past. I have a bunch of free ones that I've picked up over the years. Great for a spare in your backpack, car, to give to your kids, whatever.

The magnetic parts holder has a reasonable strong magnet and does it's job. Not really anything to break here, either.

The "puck" lights aren't the greatest, but they do work AOK. HF has upgraded these over the years to better/brighter LEDs as well. They have a magnet and a folding hook on the back. Not bad to toss in a toolkit.

As free items -- they're spectacular.

Screwdriver is my pick. Light is decent too. Parts tray I have had the magnet come off the bowl before pretty easily. The screwdriver is legit, even at $4, it's a pretty good deal. I use them all the time.

If you get the magnet bowl, be careful, especially if you stick it to something metal like a car fender or toolbox. The glue they used to stick the magnet to the bowl is exceptionally weak and if you try to pick up a bowl full of screws and bolts, it may leave the magnet behind, and your very important screws and bolts could spill all over the shop floor.

The screw driver is nice to leave in a kitchen drawer so my wife and kids stop taking and losing my good tools.

This makes me miss when harbor freight constantly had specials like this. I could have collected a lifetime supply of stuff back then.

IIRC I thought in the past these didn't require a purchase

Yeah, used to be like that. But the current sale has some $1 items, so you could get away with spending $1.

They still run free item deals frequently, seems like at least once a month. I've gotten at least a dozen free 5-gal buckets in the last 2 years, plus 5 of these screwdrivers, a magnetic tray, several lights and the icon bit adapter kit. If you're really a fanatic, you can go each day of the sale and get a free item (usually they run these deals Friday-Sunday).

They're decent. I leave them in house drawers and outside of my main toolbox in case kids/family members borrow without returning

We have probably close to a dozen of those little flashlights all around our house ready to go for power outages. Click it once to turn on the flashlight at the front, click again to turn on the work light on the side (which is much brighter). Takes 3 AAA batteries, has a magnet on the back and a hook to hang it.

the parts tray is super handy. I have a few of them and always use them when doing pretty much any diy mechanic job.
