Any deals on minimalist wallets? Don't want to bring the whole safe with me anymore. Smilie

I have something like this.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WT2TN6W

I've had mine for years. Don't remember what brand but I did start with a fossil version a decade ago or so. Mine always have to have a front window and multiple slots on the other side
Its very slim and I can carry my ID plus 8 cards, cash, and a tile tracker. I dont like the ones with money clip on them (as the other person suggested) because it makes it much thicker than it should be.

I've found that spending more money will get you a wallet that looks better and lasts much longer. Previously, I bought wallets like this one, which last about two years before fraying/wearing out. I finally spent a bit more ($55 or so, in France) and have had the same wallet for over five years now. Still looks great, too.
I guess there is some logic to that. My wife bought me a decent Fossil and it lasted about 8 years before the internal dividers tore apart. I loved that wallet! The Timberland Pro I have now is SUPER bulky due to a removable card carrier that I would love to remove but need the space for all my cards.

The problem is I'm CHEAP and I end up putting up with minor annoyances to save a few bucks, which I suppose is part of the point you were trying to make in your post.

Seems decent for the price, it will probably hold up about as well as the Timberland here.

I've been trying to find one with a front pocket to replace mine and only find low quality ones on Amazon. Any idea where I can find one?
I wonder if it about the pricing you can find at TX Maxx or Marshalls? I used to see those there (like Timberland) and wanna say they were all sub-$15

i dont even like this. my 20 year old Fossil wallet is smooth leather, non-texured. it has a pocket on the front where i keep my commuter card for easy access so i dont have to take out my wallet every time.
Who still uses physical commuter card? Everything is on the phone.

Yep, that was my point. I've seen the wisdom in buying high quality things that last longer (not paying for BRAND, unless that brand is also higher quality and worth the expense -- not always easy to know). Timberland makes some high quality stuff -- I have their leather chukka boots, and I'm on my third pair over the last 20+ years because they look good, feel good, and last well over 5 years despite extensive wear, especially in the colder months. Their denim, on the other hand? Sucks, badly. It's comfortable, but I had three pair start to rip at the pockets right about a year each time.

I just received my wallet - WOW what a piece of garbage! If this lasts a year it will be a miracle. The leather seems fine and will probably hold up for a while, but the fabric inside is so thin it's almost transparent. Oh well, I'll use it and toss it - not worth returning. Lesson learned...
