I don't think there's a difference between the 27q and the 27qz (this monitor). HP's listing even has the same photos for both monitors. Could just be a certification/warranty/firmware kind of deal?

The thing with Mac is, not every monitor plays well with them. For instance, my monitor can't use its VRR or HDR with Mac. Some monitors even reset your open windows. So, it's not just about what ports the monitor has. People actually need to ask how compatible a monitor is with a Mac.
