I forgot I still had a deal alert setup for kindle scribe as I bought one a couple months ago whenever the last prime day sale was. I paid a bit more than this as it was only 20% off list price. Thanks for the reminder to remove my deal alert, and I'll just say to anyone who is on the fence about these, they're great devices and I like the larger screen much more than my old kindle paperwhite that I traded in.

This is less than the previous Frontpage deal from January
https://slickdeals.net/f/18036195

I also see a buy 2 and get $40 off and then a save 20% with trade-in lowering the prices even more. Prime Visa cardholders may get 10% cashback as well.

Thanks for posting! I had an alert on for this because I was looking for a deal, but $100 off on the 64GB model is good enough for me with the 20% off with trade-in and 10% back on Amazon card..

Now I just need to decide if I want the $100 cover and the extra pen tips.

Have prime visa but not seeing the 10%. Nvm, it's because I no longer have prime. Had to pay $1.99 for one week of prime then got the offer.

Do these have global text/note/ocr search yet? It's my main holdback. I want to know everywhere I've written a note about a topic/word.

If anyone has used the Remarkable for note taking and to read books, and also compared to the Scribe, can you please share your opinion on which one is better? TY.

I am a little leery of Paperwhite, ever since the 2014 model I got had its battery go bad in less than 3 years of *extremely light* use. I don't know if mine was an isolated incident.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I have friends in my circle who tried both and 5 of 5 ultimately kept the RM2 and returned the Kindle due to overall fit/finish/experience. Watch some YT reviews.

I haven't read books on one (only a couple PDFs) but I used one for about a week to draw and take notes. I found the Remarkable more satisfying to write on. I prefer the feel of the stylus (or marker) and the ability to pinch zoom is sorely missed on the Scribe. The Scribe feels just fine to write on but the inability to zoom in and out drives me nuts.

If you primarily read, get the Kindle Scribe. If you mainly write, the Remarkable will be better although there are even better options like the Supernote Manta or Viwoods AiPaper. They will give you much more options to organize your notes and it is much easier to transfer notes from and to your device.
