Deal Instructions:
  1. From your Samsung Galaxy Device, uninstall the Perplexity App if it is already installed on your device via the Google Play store
  2. Go to the Samsung Galaxy Store (red-ish icon with a white tote)
  3. Search for or find the Perplexity App
    • Note: A banner may appear; however, you don't need to click the banner to redeem this offer.
  4. Install the Perplexity App, and open the app
  5. Either log in to your current free Perplexity Account or create a New Perplexity Account
  6. The account should automatically be upgraded to Perplexity Pro
    • Note: You should see the words Perplexity Pro on top of the perplexity app homepage
  7. You should receive an email from [email protected] with the title "You've been upgraded to Perplexity Pro."
    • Note: If you are not upgraded to Perplexity Pro after following the instructions above, in the Perplexity App, hit the top left icon to access Settings, then click Logout. Close the app. Then, proceed to open the app again and log back in. This should trigger the app to upgrade you to Perplexity Pro.

make sure you uninstall from the play store and install from galaxy store. two different stores

I got this through Xfinity awhile back. Unfortunate that it can't be integrated as a voice assistant. It's ability to answer questions just destroys Google, Siri, Alexa, whatever. It actually works. Not certain I'd pay for it but it's good.

Anyone know how this is better than gemini on galaxy? I like using the gemini button and giving it a screenshot of something, telling it to put it on my calendar, and it automatically adding the appointment to my calendar.

It can be integrated as an assistant. An option is in the settings.

Didn't work for me. I wasn't signed into my Samsung account on my phone, but I signed into the store on my S24 with my existing Samsung account, downloaded Perplexity from the Samsung store, then signed into my existing perplexity account which has a different email than my Samsung account. No "Pro" on phone or on web with the account.

I downloaded the app and then asked it if I am using the pro version. It said, it couldn't help me and I should check my settings and gave me incorrect instructions on where to find the settings.

if only this company could figure out the common sense stuff.. installed app from galaxy store, signed in using my google account (same email as Samsung accnt). Only see a graphic with the "pro learn more", clicking leads to another graphic page with "continue" clicking which brings back to original settings page. no way to tell if you are on pro and no upgrade option available.

edit: I guess the app is "work in progress". in browser it shows upgrade option. deleted account and app. hope to find a use for the gemini pro before it expires next year
