Anyone have experience with one of these? Seems cheap, assuming it probably isn't very good.

LFP for less than $90… not bad.
I wonder what the reviews are like.

I bought one early last year, I like it. They forgot to include an AC cable but customer support was quick to send me one. It's always worked and held charge. I use it occasionally to power a water pump outside so I don't have to deal with extension cord. I also use it when I need to inflate my car tires because it's more convenient than using the stationary port in my car. I used it once to run the microwave (low power level) with success

great price! any idea if it's RFI quiet for portable radio use? some pure sine wave inverters still emit a lot of noise. i'd be happy to test this myself at this price but the return policy says no returns if "unpacked or used" bummer

I would err on the side of caution and say it probably won't be.

Any reason you aren't running straight DC or using a ground isolator?

I highly recommend staying away from this brand. Mine stopped working properly after 2 weeks. CS is very shady, only responded to my email after I put in a dispute with paypal. They asked me to reset it which did not solve the problem. Luckily I was able to get my money back via paypal.

Buyer beware! At least use a reputable credit card/3rd party payment or buy through amazon if you want to give this brand a shot.

i run dc to the radio but still need 110v to charge up the laptop. i think i'll stay away from this one and continue searching for something clean, ty!

If you're running straight DC, then the only potential noise would be from a ground loop.

The possibility of that occurring is minimal, provided you're only connecting to one DC terminal at a time (that may include the USB ports).

The inverter is completely isolated from this, so it wouldn't have an impact.

Unless you're trying to do something like connect an aux cable from the radio to the laptop?

many of the cheap inverters in these emit a lot of RFI which is detectable on ham radios.

Have you confirmed it's RFI and not a bad ground?

The easiest way to test would be to plug something into the inverter side while the radio is powered nearby from another source.

If it really is RFI, I suspect you're going to have a hard time getting clean enough power out of any of these and being a pure sine wave may not be as impactful as it seems.

What about cutting out any kind of middleman and running a Bioenno battery direct? They're made for ham radios, so I'd imagine they have the noise issues worked out.

again, the radio is easy to power RFI clean, the laptop is the only reason i'm interested in this. i use a couple eco-worthy lifepo4 batteries i found here on slickdeals to power the radio, ty again!
i haven't personally confirmed RFI in any of these, i don't own one yet but i've seen countless examples inverters ruining the ham radio fun. just trying to prepare for field day

I tried to play that gamble half a year ago.
First unit came used, without AC cable.
Sent back to their California warehouse and got replacement in a week.
Second one looked like brand new, with all the wires.
But still almost from the very first and every usage - unit was turning off after reaching some random charge level in-between 40 and 60%. They admitted that was BCU.
They proposed either replacement again, or return of money. I chose money.
They covered all the shippings and Customer Support was quite responsive back then, no complaints.
So you may try to play that game and check your luck if you have some extra time

I have the NEO300 for a couple of years. I have used it while camping when I couldn't plugin so my phone could charge. It now sits in my daughters playhouse so her and her friends can charge their devices. I have it plugged into solar panels and she hasn't had any issues.

I have one. No issues. Used it for camping to power lights & fans at night. It was also used during a power outage but forgot what I used it for. Likely to charge devices and fan.
