No it doesn't. It retailed at $40 iirc when launched. It has been on sale on and off but I don't think it has ever been this low.

You are looking at Target's price. They often use their last sale price, and not MSRP. If you want to argue MSRP of Lego is too high to begin with, I'm with you. But this is a good price in comparison to normal MSRP.

The MSRP of this set is extremely laughable. This price is much more reasonable.
