This isn't cheap enough. You're better off with a mid-spec M4 studio

only good if you demand GPU - otherwise better off with m4 especially proprice wise, you can find the m4 max studio cheaper elsewhere

I ordered this; but in retrospect it seems like a bad deal. the M4 Max with 64gb and 1TB is just a few hundred more.

Edit: for clarity, I ordered the M2 Ultra

I see at least $1500 more for that configuration online

I work in IT and I tried using a MAC as a host to support Windows as a guest. I don't recommend this because I spent a decent amount of money with my configuration to only see it expire (support wise) with the OS update, forcing me buy the next version of fusion at full price. Much cheaper to buy a Windows laptop and do the same as it pertains to the duration of time you can use the setup without the annual to semi-annual upgrades.

For almost every use case an m4 mini is better than the m2 max studio.

But the studio with 96gb of ram, yum.
