I have 3 hifiman headphones including these (the other two being a 4xx for 8 years and a HE560 v4 for 5 years) and no build issues with any so far.
Still using a third, maybe fourth hand Hifiman HE-500. The old ones were built like tanks. I recently tried the Edition XS and though a bit creaky, they seemed alright. I thought they were less well-built than my equally priced Sennheisers.
I've been using a sennheiser for quite some time and trust their build quality. I just dont think i should pull the trigger on Hifiman with the large cost and hearing how some aren't built well.. idk.

they are def not light, but to my head, they are pretty comfortable, but my head is on the larger size as well. but i guess the best answer is depends... on an individual
I have these, the Ananda, the HE-400i, and the HD-6XX, plus Truthear Hexa and a few other IEMs. I don't touch any of my other headphones anymore. The HE6SE V2's are the real deal.
They run just fine off my Schiit Asgard 3.
