I've got a couple of these, and I actually really like them. The shape of the spout lets air in at the top so it allows for as much water flow as you want.

I have 1 of these exact bottles. Intended to use it for hot stuff in the winter (tea/hot chocolate) and cold drinks in summer.

Due to the way the opening is designed, it is bad for hot drinks. You'll burn yourself and it is very likely that more liquid than you really want will be dispensed.

It does work will for cold drinks and easily keeps them cold overnight with lots of ice still in the bottle the next morning.

However, the quick close 180deg lid has to be screwed on in a very specific way or the liquid will come out where the screw-on part didn't properly seat. If the screw-on cap is started at the correct place and turned to seat correctly, about 90-180 deg, then it is very leak proof., but if it isn't started and seated from that single location, expect leaks.

I buy "Thermos" brand drink bottles for the extra long cold/hot liquid containment. However, I also expect their products to be leak free no matter how the container is closed. This bottle fails that test.

3-stars and I wouldn't buy it again.

The threads interlock in the same place every time. Where's your leak coming from? There were video of purchasers showing massive leaks, but that's because the sealer at the top of the cap was installed incorrectly, most likely by the purchasers themselves if they decided to remove the parts to wash first before using and reinstalled incorrectly.

Got the white bottle. Personally, I wouldn't use this for hot drinks just because I already have another bottle for like coffee. I don't like to "contaminate" drinks from different categories. However, if this were to be my only bottle, I'd use it for hot drinks too. Just be careful sipping and you'll be fine. It's like drinking hot coffee from a big mug. You're not going to raise the mug quickly to your mouth when the drink is piping hot. You're going to carefully raise it to get an amount that's not going to burn your whole mouth. But it IS a bit big for coffee. About the only thing I don't like about it is that on MY bottle, there's no tactile feedback to indicate it's closed properly. Otherwise, I think it's a great bottle, though you will lose/gain temperature a little faster because the mouth is pretty wide (ez to put in ice cubes).

The point of using a "sippy cup" like this is because you aren't sitting at a desk, but likely moving by walking or in a vehicle with some bumps. Being burned by hot liquid splashing through the opening unexpectedly **is** the entire point. Otherwise, a normal coffee cup would be used.

I didn't mean to imply a "massive leak" for an improperly seated cap. Just a few drips is annoying enough, especially for non-water drinks. Dripping a little lemon water can stain/bleech a shirt.
The fact remains, the cap has to be screwed on in a very specific way to be leak proof and it is easy to do that incorrectly. I own the 50 yr old Stanley Thermos designed for use with hot liquids that has a tight screw cap and 1 cup chrome cap that goes over that. I remember Mom pouring a small cup of coffee for Dad on long family road trip vacations. Screwing in that leak-proof cap was idiot-proof. Not so for this model of Thermos. THAT's my issue.
