Update: while not specifically stated, these from Amazon appear to be the exact replica of these with 300LM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0915B6X66

At 5 bucks a pop they are ok. Eventually they stop staying open and lit, gravity closes them as the friction of opening and closing eventually wears down the amount of material that keeps them open.

$80 retail price, umm, no, never. Decent deal at $20, probably so. I have a VERY similar set Energizer branded but not solar, been happy with them so far, have them specifically for evening and/or overnight power outages.
Mine are too bright as well, I used transparent/opaque contact paper to help address the intensity of the light, have been pretty satisfied with the results.

Have never been $80. Barely worth it at $20

FYI, you just close the lantern as much as is needed to control the light. It should stay on that position on its own until it wears out at least.

You can get the same ones on Amazon for the same price. Not a good deal. Also $80 is BS. These normal prices.
