I got it last time it was on sale. It is amazing. Neighbors love it as well.

PS. Take some time to read the manual and all the modes.
Half the day is night. So it depends how you live your life and your profession.

Here's a yt review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeTAsXo7vJQ

These types of lights are called flood lights, these light up a wide area field of view instead of throws which light up a focused area with a bright laser-like light beam.

As a first responder that works night these types of flashlights are amazing. I can use this to light up a dimly lit room by placing this on a table and making my own light. I can use this to gain access to an address while being very visible. These types of flashlights also acts as a non-lethal deterrent if necessary

As for duration of use, that depends on how you use it as there are different brightness modes and automatic temperature regulators that will automatically decrease output to protect the flashlight once it reaches a specified temp of 40 (or 45) degrees C to protect the LED for long term use.

The point is, this is an advanced and amazing flashlight for the price with its own flashlight Anduril 2.0 UI and if you haven't bought a flashlight in the last decade this is a pretty good one to start but this is definitely not an edc light
I have over 300 AliExpress transactions. Only two never arrived (and I was refunded).

What is the purpose of this flashlight? When there is a power outage and what else? When you go outside and hiking?

What batteries does it use and how many hours does it last if you have it on the entire time?

Great deal, just bought two. Given that $18650 batteries are between $2 and $5 (bulk vs small orders), this flashlight is being sold for $15-20. Amazing price.
That's because every company has their own "standard" size batteries. But for 18650 even for sofirn I've seen at least 2 differing sizes of 18650s

I have 4 different 18650s of differing Length, width and diameter.

I also have 3 different 21700s.

After I login and put in my payment information, a popup stating something about me losing the discount. No matter how I answer, the discount goes away.

Same for me. I got this error when I tried re-adding the promo code:

"For security reasons your request can't currently be processed."

edit: went back later and it worked.

I decided to pay with Paypal instead of my credit card and it appears to have gone through with the discount.

I went back and tried again with Google pay but after confirming it brought me to a (mostly) blank page. Went back to the payment type selection page and used a CC and it went through. Though I never got to the order confirmation page, it just got stuck on the credit card data page. Got a text notification that my card had been charged and it's showing as an order in my account. Idk... Seems to have worked though.

edit: why is your formatting all messed up?

What formatting are you referring to? If it's the response, it looks okay on my screen.

So for a power outage, how long would it last? Now say once the battery runs out, you still have to charge it again right? But you can't do this if you still don;t have power? What batteries does it use? Is it batteries that you can buy like the double A batteries or it's a special battery that only comes along with this flashlight?

It runs on rechargeable 18650 batteries. You can keep an extra couple of sets around and have an external charger if you are concerned about prolong power outage.

So this flashlight specifically is probably used for when you're on the move and need to find something and is for a limited time lets say 1-2 hours at most.

Afterwards i just charge it from my car or via a powerbank. If you really wanted to, you can buy more spare 18650 type batteries at around $6-10 apiece - but honestly at that price you might as well buy 2 of these so you can use them almost concurrently. Most of these guys like to upsell their batteries and not all 18650s have the same dimensions - I have 4 differing sizes of 18650 batteries.

So if you're really looking into this as a long-term SHTF solution then I'd get 2 or more for these more specialized situations while getting 1-2 smaller ones for more of an EDC or quick uses.

If you want more long term solutions then you need to get a powerbank with USB lights.

I got something wrong with my head so I like collecting these little things so I got enough to pack a whole shelf of these things. Flashlights, lanterns, usb-lights, powerbanks, outdoors' portable lights, etc.

It's a terrible habit that I love to hate. I can't put them on a shelf because I have to hide them from the missus - she hates it when I buy more but she also knows I'm weird and she's stuck with it.
