Been trying for a month now to get the BIOS to update to work for my 9600x. How'd you do it? Literally every exact step because I've done everything
I did it on the bench before I installed anything on the motherboard. Maybe your flash drive was too big or not formatted correctly, or you didn't rename the bios file correctly. I followed a tutorial on YouTube to know what to expect in terms of lights and time to complete. The motherboard itself spent about 5 minutes updating I believe

Which BIOS did you use? I've done it all kinds of ways, still no post here
Some ASRock boards got too aggressive on default PBO setting/feature which ended up killing some Ryzen CPUs.
This news was from like 2 weeks ago in Taipei, Taiwan.
The BIOS was very out of date, and even after updating, it has an issue with severe input lag/stuttering which goes away about 10-15 seconds after powering on. Everything seems to work fine after the initial stuttering clears up, and I haven't noticed any issues that carry over into normal operation of the OS. Now that I'm done setting up the machine, I don't notice it any more.
Another thing to keep in mind is the heatsinks and risers are very tall and chunky, and they do make this board incompatible with many coolers (like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 that I tried to migrate over with). Not considering this a negative; it feels like more of a trade-off for all of the extra connectivity/features that this board provides. Still, it's something to keep in mind for your build.
