Completely disagree. It definitely has it flaws, but it does Star Wars elements incredibly well.
Will probably be on gamepass soon.
There's plenty of ubi games on gamepass.

Been this price for a few weeks at my local Walmart but no one is buying it. Is it really that bad?
No, it is not. It has a very entertaining story, with a lot of variety of missions. The stealth has been improved since the release of the game. At the beginning was horrible. It treats the Star Wars lore with respect, which is important to some people (I am not one of those), but it gives you a lot of new information about that world, which in my case is more important.

A lot to the criticism for this game comes from the typical "anti-woke" brainwashed people, and for those that think the game has to have lightsabers to be a good game. There is also fair criticism, and not all the games are for everybody.

Maybe people are broke or afraid of discretionary spending and Ubisoft is simply "dumping" this game. I mean that in the best ways. I just ordered it after asking ChatGPT Plus a lot of questions. I'm just a boomer who doesn't like grindy games too much.

For people wondering if this is bad - just like so many other games, this one was judged very early on and it becomes difficult to change that judgement (FO76 anyone?). The game received a lot of backlash on release (for good reason in many cases). But the devs got to work and fxed quite a few issues. For example, they recently patched the game so you can now shoot people while riding your speeder. How this wasn't in the game at launch I have no idea! Also, on launch, if you failed a stealth mission you had to restart. Now you can just pull out your blaster and kill everyone (which you should do in an imperial base).

The game feels very much like Star Wars and you will meet some classic characters on the way. The locales are cool. It's always fun to walk into a new cantina. There is also a beefy faction system and the way you improve/add abilities is interesting.

The big drawback for me is that it is an Ubisoft game, which means it is too long and is stuffed with collectables and side missions. And you can skip a lot of it, but some of the stuff is tied to character improvement.

I give this game a solid 7 out of 10 in it's current state. Not a must play, but worth your time. And definitely worth $20.

What sucks about digital is you can't resell it when you're done. Makes trying out games difficult, esp in today's landscape where so many games are broken at launch. Makes buying games a sunk cost

After playing the demo, this isn't worth the time to play it for free. The gameplay is so freaking bad/bland. Actual good games exist.
You have some hot takes that can be off, but on this one we're definitely on the same page.

I figured this game was getting heat from neckbeards not liking the main character being a woman, or due to perceived unattractiveness, so I played the demo thinking it would be decent at worst, and ended up hating the gameplay, it really is boring. Maybe non demo planets are better, but it would be strange having a demo based on the weakest planet.

That's exactly why I very rarely buy games at launch anymore. More and more games are shipped broken, so waiting six months to a year gives it time to be fixed and I'll get it at a better price too.
